We are an informal group of activists, neighbors, and community leaders that has come together to help build a political movement dedicated to defending democracy, liberty, and the rule of law. The Trump Administration is attacking the legal rights generations of people have come to America to enjoy -- freedom of speech, freedom of religion, due process. Now, it's engaged in foreign wars in an attempt to distract us from what is happening to our country. It is up to us, the current generation of Americans, to come together like our ancestors have done in the past and stand up for the human rights of all people.

March 28th is a national day of action and our rally will coincide with these other actions. You can find more events here: https://www.nokings.org. We recognized that there was no event scheduled for downtown Peabody and we have taken it upon ourselves to schedule time to stand out.

Our group and the national organizers of this even have adopted a strategy of non-violent direct action. This means that we cannot engage in any violence and we must be ready to de-escalate in the event we are confronted by people who want to escalate. Please, do not bring any weapons.
