Public Health
Working to maintain and ensure public health is a primary responsibility of all cities of a certain size. As the experience of the COVID-19 showed us, often it is people within our own communities who can be the most trusted sources of medical information. It is important that Peabody maintain a robust public health department ready to respond to health needs that may arise.

Additionally, public health often requires, especially for elderly folks, services that can help folks get round and amenities to keep them in the community. These services are not some luxury, but essential to the overall wellbeing of our elders. The city needs to ensure that Peabody continues to search for ways to improve services that allow our residents to age with dignity.

We also have to recognize that public health requires us to have clean air and clean water and green spaces to support our local ecology--not to mention our mental and physical health. If elected, I will be a voice for renewable energy and for protecting open spaces in Peabody. I believe we can not only protect our existing undeveloped land from further development, but also increase our housing stock while we do.
